Of course I understand that things come up and plans change… Up to 24 hours before your appointment, you can cancel or change your session time and date by using the link provided in your email confirmation received when booking.

Less than 24 hours before...

Late cancellation/no-show policy

I take late cancellations and no-shows very seriously. I use an email reminder system to avoid any oversights.

Of course I understand that things come up and plans change. However, other clients have to wait for some time to get an appointment. So whilst I like to keep things as flexible as possible for everyone, please let me know as soon as possible and free up that appointment for someone else.

The quickest way is to use the reschedule or cancellation link provided on your confirmation booking, sent by email.

If you are letting me know less than 24 hours before your allotted appointment time, then this is a 'late' cancellation, and you won’t be able to rearrange or cancel the appointment yourself, as described above.

However, please contact me to let me know as a courtesy. Before you arrive there are preparations leading up to the appointment time. It is not nice to do all this and sit a wait for you when you know that you wont be there!

**The treatment fee is still payable.

Any coupons (if available) on the original booking will no longer be valid to redeem on future bookings. If it was a prepaid session, that will not be available to be reassigned to another future session.

+ What is Reiki?

Quoted from; The International Center for Reiki Training "Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures."

+ What if I’m not comfortable lying down?

No problem at all. If you are uncomfortable lying on your back, you may sit in a comfortable upright position to receive your Reiki treatment.

+ Will the Reiki practitioner touch me?

I typically do not come in contact with your body because I feel most connected to my energy field when my hands are hovering slightly above you. That can change, depending on what feels right energetically. If you would not like me to touch you at all, please let me know. I will not be offended. Above all else, I value your physical and emotional safety and comfort.

+ What if I cry during my Reiki session?

Let it ALL out. It is totally normal to cry during Reiki sessions. Your emotions may be heightened during your session and for a few days after. Please, please, please do not feel embarrassment or shame about this.

+ Do you offer trades?

I absolutely do! I love a good trade! If you have something awesome you think would be a good fit, please contact me.

+ I can’t afford Reiki. What should I do?

I believe that Reiki should be accessible to everyone. If you cannot afford my Reiki services, please contact me about your situation and we’ll work something out.
